Sitting On Pins and Needles

The WSOP Circuit is at Harrah's New Orleans and the chase for the WSOP Circuit National Championship is winding down. The big question remains...

"What are my chances?"

At the time of this post, I remain in 24th place for one of the 34 at-large berths.
New Orleans has completed two Ring Events. Tuesday and today's events drew 312 and 423 participants respectively and results are forthcoming. New Orleans is one of the four Regional Championship stops on the 15 stop WSOP Circuit Final Table participants gain automatic entry into the 100 player National Championship. Only Ring Events count in the race and there are eight Ring Events yet to play out in New Orleans -- including the $1600 Main Event, in addition to the Regional Championship.

These 53 players are listed as having qualified for the National Championship.

During this stop in New Orleans, 11 players may qualify. Let's do the math.
53 players have qualified + N.O. Main Event winner + N.O. Casino Champion +
9 players who appear at the Regional Championship Final Table = 64 players
64 players plus 34 at-large players = only 98 players will qualify ?

This is what has happened, Kyle Cartwright qualified twice by virtue of being the Tunica Casino Champion AND the Main Event winner in St. Louis. Palm Beach Main Event Champion John Riordan is under the age of 21. Riordan won his title at the Palm Beach Kennel Club and the legal gambling age requirement there is 18 years old. While Riordan can play in Florida, he can not play in Las Vegas.

These two circumstances have created two additional at-large berths...

The WSOP has not commented on this matter yet, so you kind of heard it here first.
I have been watching that leader board like a hawk since I finished fifth in the very first event on the circuit this year. As I see it, and in my opinion, 13 players will have to pass me in New Orleans for one of 36 (not 34) at-large WSOP Circuit National Championship berths. I estimate I am a 92% or better favorite to make it.
