This is old news resurfacing as new news. Ali Tekintamgac is a German player who was disqualified from a Partouche Final Table in November 2010, accused of cheating earlier in the event by tournament officials. Tekintamgac was being signaled by phony journalists as to what his opponent's holdings were. Partouche threatened to bring charges vs. Tekintamgac and use casino footage in court, but French authorities have yet to find any wrongdoings in the case. Tekintamgac has filed suit against Partouche for €1.5 million, an amount which represents his possible winnings from the tournament and the damage to his reputation. Above is an example of Tekingtamgac at work...
Ali is also reported to have been banned from a casino in the Czech Republic for pocketing tournament chips and reintroducing them in higher buy-in tournaments, and was recently banned from Holland Casino, also for suspected cheating.
The big question is: Where is Ali today?
Ali is at the Bellagio playing in Day Two of the $25,000 WPT World Championship event with 160K in chips. Daniel Negreanu is keeping everyone updated on his Twitter.
David Williams is the defending champion.
